Usage : for measuring water or oil absorption of paper and board.
Definition : The water absorbency of paper (the cobb value) is defined as the quantity of water absorbed in a given time by one side
of a unit area of paper or board placed horizontally under a head of one centimeter of water.

Device Description : for the determination of the water absorption of sized paper and board , including fiberboard under standard
conditions . A test piece is weighed immediately before and immediately after exposure one of the surface of the water for
specified time , followed by blotting. The result in increase in mass is expressed in grams per square meter (g/m2) . the standard
model has an test area of 100cm2 .
